These VacuMaid original inlet valves provide you with the quality you need for your central vacuum system. These valves use a simple micro switch that turns on your central vacuum when the hose is plugged in with a single roller ball located in the opening.

Had a little trouble identifying and finding the right replacement inlets for my older Vacu-Maid system.  The photos and description at Central Vacuum Direct were very helpful, and the shipping was very fast.  I got exactly the right inlet valves, while I'm still waiting for delivery from a competitor.  Haven't installed them yet, because I also ordered the Inlet Valve Rough-In Plate SKU 5566, which doesn't work with this inlet valve.  My mistake.  I should have asked first.
