The Surface Mount Valve Rough-In Box is ideal for unfinished areas such as basements or garages. Simply mount it on your concrete or garage wall. Works with low voltage valves with vertical screws.

A short 90 degree elbow (5506) is required and sold separately

Note: This box will not work with NuTone, VACUFLO Semi-Automatic or VacuMaid Designer valves.

I was a little surprised at both the complication and rarity of a surface mount box for my newly installed central vacuum system.

After installing the box along with a chrome inlet, I can say my skepticism is laid to rest.  This is a fine piece of hardware.  It looks great and is entirely durable and rigid.

This part is highly recommended.
