The motor tends to be the most expensive replacement part for any central vacuum system and it's also a good idea to replace the filter when you're replacing the motor. This process can add to not only the overall cost of the repair but the time you'll spend as well. Keeping in mind that replacement motors will only have a one(1) year warranty, another option to consider would be to replace the entire power unit in favor of a newer model. Newer power units can have up to a twenty(20) year, no-strings-attached, warranty and will often be quieter too!

Vacuum system working again	January 16, 2022

Sales support on the phone was very helpful recommending a replacement motor. The replacement is not an exact fit. I had a little problem getting the cover back on and the intake seemed to be just a mm higher which made for a really tight fit. but, overall, being able to replace a 30 year old motor and get my system running again was wonderful.

Great customer service! I called to order the motor and it was out if stock, due to COVID impact on supply chain, but Tom took my information to contact me when back in stock. True to his word, I got an email when the motor was in stock. Ordered and received in two days. Easy install and the vacuum performs like new!
